ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION

All students participate in our End of Year Concert and students work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.

In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. Of course, this is only if it can’t be helped and in line with studio guidelines. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact reception to let us know in advance.

If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.

CONCERT FEE

A concert fee of $80.00 per student will be payable. This will be included in your weekly direct debit split over 2x $40 payments on October 24th and November 14th. Students who have not paid their concert fee will be unable to perform in the concert.

CONCERT TSHIRT & MEMORABILIA

CONCERT TSHIRT

All students receive a concert commemorative t-shirt included as part of their performers fee. You can pre-select the size you wish to receive by filling out the form below. Anyone who has not preselected their shirt size by 28th September will have their t-shirt assigned based on their age.

CONCERT MEMORABILIA

VIDEOS

We engage the services of a Professional Videographer. All parents will receive a digital download of their dancers show included as a part of your concert performers fee. All parents will be emailed with a unique log in which will enable you to view and download the concert videos at home.

If you have recently changed emails, please drop us an email at hello@fiercepa.com.au to ensure we have an up to date email address for you and you don’t miss out.

Concert videos will be emailed out early January and will be available for 4 weeks only to download.

ON STAGE PHOTOS

We engage the services of a Professional Photographer who will be taking on stage photos of all shows. Please be aware that they are “live on stage” images and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child. All digital images will be provided to parents which is included as a part of your concert performers fee.

REHEARSAL & PHOTO DAY

REHEARSAL - WEEK 8 IN CLASS | PHOTO DAY- SUN 7th DEC

At Fierce, we understand that the end of year is a busy time for families and as such we don't hold a separate rehearsal day for our littlest dancers but instead hold a Rehearsal week in normal class time! During rehearsal week students will have full dress rehearsals and run throughs in costume. Costumes will be given out in class for them to wear.

Students need to do the following for dress rehearsal week:

Arrive 10 mins earlier for class (if possible) & be picked up 5mins after normal class finish time

Wear Dance undergarments that would be worn on concert day (see further information detailed later in "what to wear")

NO hair or makeup is required

Students will receive their Commemorative Finale Tshirts handed out in classes this week (see more info below)

PHOTO DAY- SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER

Please come to the studio in full costume, hair and makeup in the corresponding time slots to take your class photo. There will be opportunity to book in an individual photoshoot for extra cost.

9-9:15am: Mummy & Me

Please ensure you arrive 5-10mins early so you are ready for your scheduled time slot. We will not wait for anyone running late unfortunately due to the amount of classes to get through. If you cannot make your scheduled time slot- please send an email to hello@fiercepa.com.au so we can try and make alternative arrangements.

CONCERT DAY PROCEDURES

DROP OFF & PICK UP

On concert day, all of the students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and makeup done and costume on before being dropped off. Students are required to arrive 30mins before their show time.

During the dropping off times, we ask that one parent/guardian comes with their child into the drop off area (you will be directed once at the venue). Students will receive a sticker with their name and item numbers to be placed on their backs. Staff will use this sticker to ensure all correct kids make it onstage for all their routines. All students will be collected during the show at the end of their turn on the pink carpet finale. Parents can then collect any extra belongings from the holding room after the show.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us. We will ensure that we talk you through the concert day procedure again in the weeks leading up to the concert.

Unfortunately, little people can be unpredictable- if for some reason your child does not make their allocated routines on stage either due to toileting needs, being upset, staff miscommunication, etc. we will endeavour to put them in an additional routine onstage that they will know or run their routine again if time permits. Please know that we want every child to have the most amazing experience. If on the day you notice your child missing from their routine, just head over to the door staff and let them know and we will follow it up immediately- parents will NOT be permitted to go backstage unless asked by a Fierce staff member.

SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY

To help with student organisation and safety, all students will receive a sticker with their name and routine numbers on it and will be directed to sit with their numbered 'group’. Please see the "show specific info" on this site.

As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in. Only Fierce staff are permitted backstage. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in.

All students participate in a pink carpet on conclusion of their show/s. Our littlest performers will be wearing their concert costume for their finale.

Tiny Tots- Black Jazz Shoes or Pink Ballet Shoes

Lil Jazz- Black Jazz Shoes

Lil Tap- Black Tap Shoes

Lil Ballet- Pink Ballet Shoes

Lil Hiphop- White Sneakers

Lil Ninjas- White Sneakers

Lil Circus/Acro- Bare Feet, Black Jazz Shoes or Pink Ballet Shoes all acceptable

Mummy & Me- Any of the above or bare feet | Mums please wear your concert t-shirt and black or pink bottoms, hair neat and normal makeup.

All shoes (except white sneakers) are available for purchase at the studio in the lead up to concert or they are available from any dance shop. White sneakers can be purchased from any shoe shop, Big W etc.

UNDERWEAR

Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under light coloured costumes. Please make sure your child is wearing light or flesh coloured underwear.

HAIR

Dancers may do their own unique slick hairstyle. Recommendations include- pig tails, space buns, high ponytail. Please ensure the hair is off the face and that is very neat and tidy. Please ensure their hair accessory is pinned in with bobby pins.

You will need to use a lot of hairspray/gel and a fine tooth comb to achieve a slick look and possibly multiple elastics. Please also use an elastic the same colour as their hair.

Please note, for boys neat and tidy hair is all that is required. No colours or crazy hairstyles please.

MAKEUP

Stage makeup can be super fun. We do stage makeup as the stage lighting can wash out our performers faces. Please use the following at your discretion on your little one-

-Apply Blush- Apply pinkish tone blush to cheekbones.

-Apply pink eye shadow on lid – work from the inside corner along the lash line.

-Add black mascara to both top and bottom lashes.

-Apply pink lipstick.

-Please note, boys are not required to wear makeup.

JEWELLERY AND NAIL POLISH

No Jewellery is to be worn, please leave all jewellery at home. Also, please remove all nail polish.

WHAT TO BRING

FOOD & DRINK

In line with venue rules there is to be NO food in dressing rooms. You are permitted to bring a labelled water bottle ONLY. However we recommend against this as the children tend not to worry about it in the midst of them performing.

PACKING CHECKLIST

Any extra shoes they are required to wear will be signed in at the check in desk. Please bring your child's extra shoes in a labelled zip lock bag. Please ensure ALL your Childs belongings including each individual shoe are labelled with their name.
